PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error measurement device that can measure an error corresponding to a transmitter whose transmission reception rates are asymmetrical. SOLUTION: A transmission code generating circuit 11 outputs a transmission code signal 11b on the basis of input timing of a transmission clock signal 11a, a reception timing circuit 12 shown in Figure 1 outputs a reception clock signal 16a on the basis of input timing of a clock signal 12b, a reception reference code generating circuit 13 outputs the reception clock signal 16a as a reference code signal 14a, a reception clock selection circuit 16 selectively receives a reception timing clock signal 16b and the reception clock signal 16a on the basis of a clock selection signal 16c, a reception code comparison collation circuit 14 compares and collates the reference code signal 14a with the reception code signal 12a on the basis of the reception reference code signal 14b and a bit error counter 15 counts the number of dissidence of signs between the reference code signal 14a and the reception code signals 12a.
