PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and surely switch the version of a program without stopping the operation of this system. SOLUTION: In starting a task system from a user terminal, the version information of an execution program stored in an environment setting file or a task program corresponding to a waiting program is referred to based on version information obtained from a host computer. Then, when the task program having the version information obtained from the host computer is made correspond to the waiting program, the task program corresponding to the execution program is replaced with the task program corresponding to the waiting grogram so that the task program having the version information obtained from the host computer can be executed as the execution program.
