VENTILATION COOLING METHOD AND APPARATUS USING NATURAL ICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation cooling method and apparatus which is suitable for environmental preservation and capable of drastically reducing the quantity of energy and its cost required directly and indirectly for cooling. SOLUTION: Ice is produced by sucking into and discharging out of an ice making chamber for making and storing outdoor fresh air having a temperature below the freezing point. Fresh air having a temperature exceeding 0 deg.C is cooled and dehumidified by the latent heat of fusion of the ice and the cool air thus obtained is used as a cold source for cooling. The cool air is blown from the ice storing chamber to a cooling space 5 to ventilate the air in the cooling space.
