PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adsorbing and separating capacity of a canister by reducing the ventilation resistance in a diffusion chamber, and suppressing the channeling of the evaporated fuel and the air to keep the uniform flow. SOLUTION: A cruciform groove member 13A having cruciform grooves 14 comprising a plurality of diffusion grooves 14a and a plurality of straightening grooves 14b cut therein is stored in the diffusion chamber 12 vided below a first adsorbent chamber 4a and a second adsorbent chamber 4b, and the evaporated fuel and the air are allowed to flow via the cruciform grooves 14. Since the ventilation resistance is reduced, the channeling is suppressed, and the flow is kept uniform, the adsorbing and separating capacity of the canister is improved.
