PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initial opening force auxiliary device to reduce the opening force in a semi-automatic hanging door in which the manually opened top-railed sliding door can be automatically closed. SOLUTION: A spring 2 is accommodated in a case 1, an internal end of the spring is fitted in a slit groove 5 of a shaft 3 pivotably supported by the case center, an external end thereof is fitted in a fit-in groove 7 provided in the case 1, and a pinion 4 is attached to a shaft tip. By attaching this initial opening force auxiliary device, the pinion 4 is engaged with a rack 20 provided on an upper rail side when the top-railed sliding door door 17 is closed, and the pinion is rotated, and thus, the spring 2 is wound to accumulate the elastic energy, and this energy is emitted when the top-railed sliding door is opened.
