PURPOSE: A vibration absorber is provided to absorb vibration generated due to washing and dehydrating of a washing machine by using a linear motor. CONSTITUTION: A vibration absorber for a washing machine comprises: a displacement sensor(100) detecting the vibration of an inner tub and outputting a displacement signal corresponding to the vibration; an excessive vibration deciding unit(200) deciding occurrence of excessive vibration depending on the signal outputted from the displacement sensor; a first motor(300) driven by the output of the excessive vibration deciding unit; a displacement control unit(400) controlling an output depending on the displacement degree; a comparing unit(500) comparing the output signal from the displacement control unit to a reference signal and outputting a result; an AND gate(600) performing AND operation by using the output signals of the excessive vibration deciding unit and the comparing unit; and a second motor(800) driven by the combination of the signals from the excessive vibration deciding unit and the displacement control unit. Herein, the first motor is a washing motor and the second motor is a linear motor. If the displacement degree of the signal outputted from the displacement sensor is high, the velocity of the second motor is increased by increasing a gain. If the displacement degree is low, the velocity of the second motor is decreased to control the second motor and to absorb vibration. |
