<p>A pilot's cabin (1) is located at the prow and the bridge is disconnected from the superstructure to allow ramps (4) to be installed for throwing the floating reservoirs (3) rolled about an axis stored in this location. The boat has one or more decantation holds (5) with valves (6) at different levels in the dividers which separate the holds, allowing the voluntary or automatic passage of liquids of different densities from one tank to the next. Suction pumps (8) placed to port and starboard depollute the water. As the vessel advances, more or less quickly, depending on the state of the sea, and funnels formed by vanes (14) allow a maximum concentration of pollution at the point of pumping. The suction heads (9) are protected by a grille and the flotation line is calculated so only the top part of the sea saturated with pollution is sucked in. Recirculating pumps eject water from the bottom of the hold into the sea while the suction pumps feed a floating chamber at the prow. Solid but flexible holding arms (14) form two large funnels with the vessel to concentrate the pollution into the suction heads. These arms are made of several detachable and articulated elements: one or more stands for a trapezoidal plate for recovering the waste, the central part of which is inflatable to maintain the flotation line. A system of attachments hold the elements together. The first element has a flap which pivots on a hinge fixed to the vessel's hull. These arms with variable geometry allow the boat to fold its flaps quickly and return to an aerodynamic shape. When the boat reaches the spillage, it can deploy its flaps at an angle of up to 90[deg] and can therefore be operated in any sea conditions short of storms.</p> |
