PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-domain liquid crystal display device having high contrast and excellent in a visual angle characteristic, without increasing complex processes such as micro-fabrication process of a common electrode, and requiring a high degree of sticking technology. SOLUTION: In the multi-domain liquid crystal display device a control electrode 73 is connected with a source terminal 57 which is one of the terminals of a TFT 54 as a switching element, and a pixel electrode 71 with an opening part 74 formed therein has coupling capacitance 126 across the control electrode 73, and a divided signal voltage is applied to the pixel electrode 71 via the coupling capacitance 126. |
