PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC plane-discharge type plasma display panel capable of satisfying both light-emitting luminance and light-emitting efficiency, restraining wrong switch-ons and switch-offs arising from the discharge interference between the adjacent cells, and attaining a wider motion margin at a low power consumption than that by a conventional device. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel specifies that a plural number of the fine wire electrodes 7S, extended to the column direction are laid out to become wider at a geometric (twice) distance with an equal ratio from the discharge gap part 13 toward the non-discharge gap part 14. The fine wire electrodes 7S are laid out so that its length becomes shorter at an arithmetic interval (approximately 20μm×left/right). Also, antenna-shaped planar electrodes 7m are connected by fine wire electrodes 7T, extended to the row direction. A pair of the maintenance electrodes (a scan electrode 9 and a common electrode 10) are composed for connecting the fine wire electrodes 7T and the bus electrodes 8 which extend from the center of the antenna shaped plane electrodes 7m in the column direction and row direction respectively.
