摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-beam scanner by which a light emitting point interval is not made to approach, but the light quantity variation by heat crosstalk is suppressed, without performing the interlaced scanning by employing efficiently an advantage of a system using a multi-beam light source device for combining a plurality of semiconductor laser arrays and by which a high- density and high-definition image is obtained. SOLUTION: In the multi-beam scanner using the multi-beam light source device in which two or more pairs of the semiconductor laser arrays 1 and 2 and collimating lenses 3 and 4 arraying a plurality of light emitting points on a straight line are disposed as a pair, by setting suitably a value of array number (n) or integer (k) so that geometric lateral magnificationβof the subscanning direction of a scanning optical system 19 whole system from the light emitting point to an image-formation point may satisfy theβ=P.n.k/ds ((k) is the positive integer here), recording density can be enhanced without narrowing the interval of the light emitting point of the semiconductor laser arrays 1 and 2, the stable light quantity control can be performed without the influence of the heat crosstalk, and the high-definition image output can be performed.
