PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cross-talk from occurring due to fluctuation of a counter potential caused by a jumping-in signal from source wiring, when driving an active matrix type liquid crystal panel by capacitance coupling driving. SOLUTION: The potentials 201, 202 of gate wiring for modulating those of pixel electrodes are modulated by a compensation voltage value in capacitance coupling driving according to source signals. Then, cross-talk is prevented from occurring by off-setting the influence by the fluctuation of the counter potential.
