PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a plasma display panel from discoloration and achieve high image quality. SOLUTION: Rather than the conventional electrodes used as the display electrode and address electrode to be installed on the glass base plate, an electrode of the type metal-formed on the oxide layer is employed to prevent the glass base plate from yellowing and discoloring, and to enable obtaining a plasma display panel with a high image quality.
