PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and easily clear up the cause of occurrence of a trouble. SOLUTION: The data processor is provided with a network board 1 which controls print data transmitted from a network, a printer controller board 3 which analyzes print data to control print processing in a printer, a sampling part 9 which monitors communication protocols between the network board 1 and the printer controller board 3 while sampling print data transferred from the network board 1, a DRAM 6 where sampled print data is successively stored, and a flash ROMDIMM 7 consisting of a non-volatile memory, and a control part 12 is provided which saves print data stored in the DRAM 6 to the flash ROMDIMM 7 at the time when abnormality of communication protocols is detected in the sampling part 9.
