SELECTIVE HYDROGENATION METHOD OF ACETYLENE ALCOHOLS

PURPOSE: A method for hydrogenating acetylene alcohols selectively is provided, to hydrogenate the triple bond of acetylene alcohols into the double bond selectively for obtaining vinyl alcohols in high yield and high purity. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of reacting 100 parts by weight of acetylene alcohol of the formula 1, 0.01-2 parts by weight of a Lindlar catalyst, and 0.001-1 parts by weight of one or more diamine-based reaction inhibitor selected from the compounds of the formula 2 and 3 in the presence or absence of a solvent, at the hydrogen pressure of 20 atm or less and at 15-85 deg.C, wherein R1, R2 and R3 are independent each another and H or an alkyl group of C1-C20; n is an integer of 1-5; and R4 and R5 are independent each other and H or an alkyl group of C1-C5 or form a cycle together.
