PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the signal processing method used for an optical disk drive allowing to have the interchangeability by making it possible to utilize various kinds of optical disks having the different reflectivity by the same device, and also the optical disk drive using this signal processing method. SOLUTION: The signal process in the optical disk drive is performed by a circuit consisting of a photodiode 1, an optical amplifier 3 which is incorporated with an amplification variable device 4a of RF signal, an amplification variable device 5a of FE signal and an amplification variable device 6a of TE signal, a signal processing circuit 7 which is incorporated with an A/D converter 8, and a CPU 12.
