The invention refers to the process of selective catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide in gaseous mixtures containing excess hydrogen using a stechiometric quantity of oxygen at temperatures between 298 K and 573 K, pressures between 1 and 10 bar and partial pressure ratios of oxygen and carbon monoxide lambda = 2pO2/pCO between1,0 and 2,5 in a single-stage flow reactor at contact times (W/F) between 0,03 and 0,4 g.s.cm-3, or at the flow of the gaseous mixture (F) between 0,083 cm3/s and 1,67 cm3/s respectively, in the presence of 0,010 up to 0,100 g of catalyst, i.e. a complex oxide with the formula CuxCe1-xO2-y with x between 0,01 and 0,30 and y equal or greater than x. The invention applies also to the procedure of preparation of the catalyst and the catalyst obtained according to this procedure. The invention can be used on the field of technology of fuels for low-temperature burner cells.
|
