摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner showing good developing property and transfer property and stable electrification property from the initial stage even in a low temperature and low humidity environment. SOLUTION: The toner is manufactured by melting and kneading a mixture containing at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, cooling the kneaded material, pulverizing the cooled material by a pulverizing means to obtain a finely pulverized material, and then classifying the pulverized material. In the method, the pulverizing means is a mechanical pulverizing machine having at least a rotator 314 as a rotating body attached to the center rotation axis 312 and a stator 310 disposed around the rotator and keeping a specified distance from the surface of the rotator in such a manner that the annular space made by keeping the distance is in a tightly sealed state. The surface roughness of the pulverizing face of the rotator and/or stator is specified to >=2.0μm center line average roughness Ra, >=25.0μm maximum roughness Ry and >=20.0μm ten-point average roughness Rz.</p>
