PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance and a fault diagnosis apparatus for it by which the timing for outputting an error code to be outputted can be anticipated. SOLUTION: The gas appliance is provided with a controller for outputting an error upon a detection of a particular fault. The controller stores error information including information regarding the content of the error to be outputted by the controller and its timing of outputting in a memory. The fault diagnosis apparatus connected with the controller of the gas appliance via a communication means reads out the error information including the above information regarding its outputting timing. A repair service person can get information on the error outputting timing stored in the gas appliance by reading out the information regarding the error outputting timing by the fault diagnosis apparatus, so that the error in the diagnosis object can be identified easily.
