PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of preventing discoloration after the production of a silver plated wire. SOLUTION: This wire drawing method for a silver plated wire is provided with a stage in which a wire to be made for spring is subjected to wire drawing before silver plating and then is subjected to silver plating after the wire drawing and a stage in which wire drawing is performed after the silver plating. Area reduction rate by the wire drawing after the silver plating is controller to 3 to 10%.
