PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sine wave generation method, a modem device, and a recording medium in which a modem processing program is recorded, which reduce a memory area for sine wave generation and improve the use efficiency of the memory area. SOLUTION: A microprocessor 1A, an interface means 2, and a RAM 3 are provided. The microprocessor 1A is provided with a sine wave generation block 10 and a mode processing block 20 other than the since wave generation block. The sine wave generation block 10 is provided with a sine wave table area securing means 11, a sine wave table generation means 12, a sine wave generation means 13, and a sine wave table area release means 14.
