PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a method and device for optically displaying automobile information on a display which is electronically controllable to drive, from a viewpoint of human engineering requirements. SOLUTION: When a method and device for optically displaying automobile information on a display which is electronically controllable to drive, the display is driven so that at least two interactively related information are graphically displayed in comparison with each other. The interactively related information are, for example, such pairs of values reached distance/remaining distance, instantaneous fuel consumption/average fuel consumption, fuel remaining quantity/reached distance, and total driven hours/effective driven hours. In this case, the plural pieces of informations are alternately displayed in the same places, but are displayed in the same kind of graphs, and in different write-in characters.
