PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which ensures improved suitability to distinguishment between the front and back faces after heat development and improved unevenness in development. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent, a contrast enhancer and a binder on the base, the glossiness of the face with a backing layer is 70-100% and that of the face with a photosensitive layer is <70%.
