Thread-end positioners (23, 24) are located just beyond the end regions (25) of the conveyor belts (13, 14). These belts carry cross-wound spools (12) from their winding locations (8) to one end (15) of the textile machine (1). Preferred features: The end regions (25) are defined by conveyor return rollers (16, 18). Just beyond the ends of the conveyors, spaced drive rollers (28, 29) form a gap (30) to hold and rotate spools (26). In each gap, a suction nozzle connected to a source of reduced pressure, is directed against the circumference of the spool. The nozzle has a positioning lever securing the trailing end thread onto the spool or onto its core. Two conveyor belts are depicted; the claims cover one or more, each with a thread end positioner.
|
