The closure appliance comprises a receptacle-holder (22), and a preferably pivoting top part (24) movable towards and from the receptacle-holder, for closing the receptacle (20) inside the receptacle-holder with a foil lid (36). A feeder (28) for the foil lids operates preferably with two rollers, and has an operating element (30) in the form of a cog wheel.
