The method involves measuring the current-voltage characteristic of each image point for compensating for the transistor (T1, T2) parameter fluctuations and manipulating the information for display from memory (13) if the characteristic differs from the ideal during operation of the display. The information is manipulated so that the overall brightness of the displayed image corresponds to the desired value.
