<p>Authentication of a user and charging the user are correctly performed when a software program provided through an information communication network such as the Internet is rented. A rental machine (3) comprises a control unit (31) for storing a software program in a PC (1), which is a reproducing device for rental software, and deleting the software program stored in the PC (1) when the rental contract ends.
