<p>A slide gate valve for powder and granular material, comprising a seal member (9), wherein a gland packing (92) is press-fitted into a laterally elongated flat annular seal housing (91) for sealing the sliding part of a gate plate (2), and the seal housing (91) formed in a bamboo shoot shape or a bevel shape in section as viewed from the front comprises a laterally elongated ring band shaped (oval shape) step part (90) (90a, 90b) as viewed from the side, a step part (93a) at the rear thereof as viewed from the front, and the inner wall surface of the seal housing (91) comprises, as viewed from the front, a slanted band surface (95) slanted sharply to the right side relative to the axial direction (moving-out direction) of the gate plate (2), an annular band surface (96) slanted to right upper side gently relative to the axial direction (moving-out direction) of the gate plate (2) continued to the slanted band surface (95), the step part (90a) continued to the annular band surface (96), an annular band surface (97) same as the annular band surface (96) continued to the step part (90a), a step part (90b) continued to the annular band part (97), and an annular band surface (98) same as the annular band surface (97), and the right end part of the seal ring (91) is opened.</p> |
