PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing cracks on the external wall of a sealed battery modules in which its compartments are separated by partition walls. CONSTITUTION: A deformable portions are provided on the barrier walls separating the compartments of sealed battery modules, before a stress exceeding an allowance level at the external container wall is generated through the application of a load on the container, the portions are deformed by the load. The barrier walls separating the compartments resist generally to the deformation of the external housing wall, when the load is applied to the module case, however, if the deformable portions made for the barrier walls is deformed through the applied load, the distortion generated at the external container wall is reduced, resulting in that the cracks at the external container wall are hard to be generated. |
