The method involves reducing the time still remaining (y.Tf) until the next activation to a time sufficient to produce the activation in response to an interrupt request. The time remaining is only reduced if it exceeds a predetermined duration. The currently remaining time is determine to establish a subtraction value with which to reduce the remaining time.
