An image input device for easily creating an original image and inputting it into a portable phone. The image input device (10) includes a monitor (20), a first imaging camera (22) for imaging a customer, and a second imaging camera (26) for imaging a thing that the customer has. A control circuit (54) of the image input device (10) transfers image data on the image of the customer picked up by the first imaging camera (22), creates text data for adding an arbitrary message to be displayed to the image data, transfers the image data and the text data to the portable phone (42), and transfers data on an synthesis image synthesized by combining the first image data on the image picked up by the first imaging camera (22) and the second image data on the image picked up by the second imaging camera (26) to the portable phone (42). The user can input image data on the original image and text data that only the customer can have into the portable phone (42), thus differentiating the portable phone from other portable phones.
