A connector (10) for joining two hot flow ducts (12 14) has an extension (16) that provides a cylindrical sliding fit for a corresponding extension of one duct (12) and an end face (20) sealing against the other duct (14). The connector (10) is spring-loaded (44), using coil (46) or disk (48) springs. Alternatively the springs can be integral lever extensions of the connector itself.
