Data processors (9,10) are used to set-up Internet connection between two terminals (2,3) or Internet terminals (13,14) through a network access device (8) if the access code transmitted by the terminals to the network device is permitted and the counter reading assigned to the access code is in a preset region. Counter reading in a database (5) is changed based on the Internet use. The access code is transmitted by the terminal to the network access device either directly or through a switching center (7) which transfers the access code to the data processors. The data processors check the admissibility of the access code based on the data stored in the database. An independent claim is also included for the long-distance data transmission device.
