The invention relates to a muscular power-driven mechanism for propelling small boats. According to the invention, the mechanism is provided with a housing (1) having two hydraulic chambers (A and B) wherein two pressure blades (2 and 3) are located, said pressure blades being integral with a central hub (4) and swingable about an axle (5) under the pressure of a contact roller (6) located at the lower end of a balance arm (7), when said balance arm (7) has a pendulum motion about an articulation (8), determining the liquid absorption and the pressure ejection thereof into the liquid mass surrounding the housing.
