METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LCD AND LCD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an LCD and an LCD thereof are provided to improve the productivity by reducing the number of mask. CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer(150a), a pure semiconductor layer(152a), a doped semiconductor layer, and a metal layer are deposited sequentially on a substrate. A data line is formed by etching the metal layer. The remaining doped semiconductor layer except for the doped semiconductor layer formed under the data line is etched by the data line as a mask. A passivation layer(112a) is formed on the pure semiconductor layer(152a) and the data line exposed by the etched doped semiconductor layer. A data line pattern is formed by etching the passivation layer(112a), the pure semiconductor layer(152a), and the insulating layer(150a) toward a direction of an extended data line. A transparent conductive material is formed on an upper portion of the etched passivation layer(112a) and the whole face of the substrate. A pixel electrode(114) is formed by using a negative photoresist and a rear exposure method. The pure semiconductor layer(152a) is over-etched to form both edges of the passivation layer(112a) as an under-cut shape.
