PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a voltage pump control signal is provided to improve the pumping efficiency of a voltage pump by preventing leakage current of the voltage pump. CONSTITUTION: The first and the second inverters(INV1,INV2) invert an oscillation signal generated from an oscillator. The third, the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth inverts(INV2-INV6) delays the inverted signal outputted from the first and the second inverters(INV1,INV2). A NOR gate(NOR) performs a NOR operation for the oscillation signal and an output signal of the sixth inverter(INV6). The first NAND gate(ND1) performs a NAND operation for an output signal of the NOR gate and a prevention signal(PRT) of the NOR gate(NOR) to output the first control signal(CON1). A NAND gate(ND) performs a NAND operation for the oscillation signal and the output signal of the sixth inverter(INV6). The eighth inverter(INV8) inverts an output signal of the NAND gate(ND). The second NAND gate(ND2) performs a NAND operation for an output signal of the eighth inverter(INV8) and the prevention signal(PRT) to output the second control signal(CON2). The tenth, the eleventh, and the twelfth inverters(INV10-INV12) inverts and delays an output signal of the second inverter(INV2) to output the third control signal(CON3). The thirteenth, the fourteenth, the fifteenth inverters, and the sixteenth inverters(INV13-INV16) delays the output of the second inverter(INV2) to output the fourth control signal(CON4).
