AUTOMATIC ANSWERING METHOD IN PORTABLE PHONE

PURPOSE: An automatic answering method in a portable phone is provided to use a portable phone like an automatic answering telephone by embodying an automatic answering function that automatically responds to a telephone signal inputted from a CDMA portable phone. CONSTITUTION: In case that a user is in his absence or cannot immediately respond, a signal transmitted from a base station is received to a transceiver(ST1). A synthesizer converts the received signal into an IF(Intermediate Frequency) signal. The synthesizer converts the IF signal into a digital signal again and transmits it to a CPU. The CPU compresses the digital signal in a QCELP(Qualcomm Code Excited Linear Prediction) method and stores it in a memory(ST3,ST4). The data stored in the memory are transmitted to an audio signal processor. The audio signal processor executes voice synthesis for the data(ST5). Then the audio signal processor decodes the data in a PCM data pattern(ST6). The CODEC of the audio signal processor converts the decoded data into an analog signal. The analog signal is amplified at an audio amplifier(ST7) and outputted through an earpiece(ST8).
