PURPOSE: A sewing machine capable of smoothly sewing the contour and lower plate of articles to be sewed such as a bag body with low width is provided, which can carry out effective and productive sewing operation and makes it possible to obtain a natural and clean sewing line. CONSTITUTION: This sewing machine comprises a rotating device of a shuttle for rotating a shuttle inserted into a supporting rod mounted on one part of a base to be sewed by combining upper threads of a needle and lower threads of a shuttle when articles with low width are sewed and a conveying device for continuously conveying the articles.
