NETWORK-BASED PRODUCT AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A network-based product authentication system and method are provided so that a user in a consumer's place is protected from fraud or accidents to purchase a safe and reliable product by providing safe and reliable product authentication information to the user using a shopping mall site. CONSTITUTION: The Internet(100) is an information transmission path through which authentication confirmation request information for a product and authentication confirmation result information are transmitted between a user and a shopping mall site. A plurality of user computers(200) transmits commercial transaction request information of the user in the shopping mall and searches product information of the shopping mall. A plurality of shopping mall servers(300) provides information on products conforming to the commercial transaction of the user via the Internet. More than one user authentication facility servers(400) performs authentication of the user according to the occurrence of the electronic commerce of the user. A banking facility server(500) performs payment of a purchased product for the electronic commerce of the user. A product authentication facility(600) performs authentication for the product of the user and the shopping mall.
