PURPOSE: A refrigerator evaporator and method for manufacturing header is provided, in which heat exchanger is formed of a plastic plate, to thereby significantly reduce manufacturing cost, while achieve a superior durability of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator evaporator comprises a heat exchanger(17) where a plurality of tubes for refrigerant circulation and a plurality of fins for coupling tubes are arranged into an S-shape; a first header(15) disposed at a first bending portion of the heat exchanger, and which is prepared by a refrigerant inlet tube(22) and a refrigerant outlet tube(21), respectively; and a second header(16) coupled to a second bending portion at a position corresponding to the first header. The heat exchanger, and first and headers are formed into a single unit made up of a plastic material. A method comprises the first step of forming tubes and fins by using a plastic plate, and producing heat exchanger by arranging tubes and fins into an S-shape; the second step of producing a first header lid by inserting a first bending portion of the heat exchanger into a mold for producing a header lid, and injecting molten plastic into the mold; and the third step of coupling the first header lid with the first header body having the refrigerant inlet tube and refrigerant outlet tube. |
