PURPOSE: Provided is an amine bio-polymer which is used not only as water treatment flocculant to absorb iron, lead aluminum, copper and zinc in wastewater but also as separating or refining materials. While conventional synthetic polymer flocculant aggregates 25-65% of heavy metal, the amine bio-polymer aggregates 74-96%. CONSTITUTION: The amine polymer is represented by chemical formula 1, where n is 3,170-3,200, its molecular wt. is about 1,200,000 and an apparent viscosity is 123-1018 cp. The production process includes: dissolving 10 volume % urea (to total volume of ammonia water) in ammonia water of -33 deg.C and making temperature to -35 deg.C; mixing 30-35wt% (to the solution) corn starch with the solution at -35 deg.C and swelling; drying the mixture at room temp. and drying again at 100 deg.C to evaporate ammonia; carrying out synthetic reaction at 135 deg.C by blowing in N2 gas for 4 hours and separating and refining the product with size difference chromatography.
