PURPOSE: Provided is a novel tripene dioxazine compound containing specified carbamate-group capable of being transferred into a corresponding tripene dioxazine pigment not containing the carbamate group as a superior pigment. CONSTITUTION: The compound is represented by the following formula(1) (wherein A and B as cores are independently and comprise annelated rings which are featured of compensational constituents corresponding to heterocyclic groups selected from a group of residual compounds defined as formulae (1) to (11), and coupled together in a linear form at 2,3-position and 9,10-position or at angles to each other at any one of positions selected from a group of 1,2-position and 8,9-position or 3,4-position and 10,11-position. The compound is effective to produce heat-, photo- or chemical-sensitive recording materials; light-illumination or electric-radiation materials; and/or cosmetic or make-up materials.
