PURPOSE: Device and method for establishing an automatic resister of printed matter in a rotary machine are provided to prevent waste of time and paper while establishing the rotary machine and to reduce producing cost by saving the paper. CONSTITUTION: A device for establishing an automatic resister of printed matter in a rotary machine comprises a printed web(1) moved to a specific direction by printing units(3,4,5,n); plural plate cylinders(6,7,8,n1) mounted on the printing unit with pressing cylinders(9,10,11,n2); compensating rollers(12,13n3) installed between the printing units; pull rollers(14,15) pinching the printed web on a lower portion; a tension detector; a tension sensor; and scanning heads(24,25) scanning print of the printed paper web. The scanning head detects a resister mark while printing. The resister mark is fixed by a printing plate or a recessed cylinder. Thereby, the device for establishing the automatic resister of the printed matter in the rotary machine prevents waste of time and paper while establishing the rotary machine.
