PURPOSE: A friction feeding wheel device is provided to exactly leave a string from a string feeding wheel when a string consumption amount of a string treating machine is reducing or disappearing. CONSTITUTION: A friction feeding wheel device(1) has a string feeding wheel(6); a string guide lever(5) for engaging and leaving a string(21) with the string feeding wheel; and string guide elements(7,22). When the string is separated from the string feeding wheel, a vibration is applied to the string feeding wheel, the string guide lever or the string guide elements by a vibration generation device and the string is exactly left from the string feeding wheel.
