<p>The invention relates to a mechanical model of an animal, especially a toy dog with forelegs and hind legs which are pivotally arranged around a first pivot with a rotation axis perpendicular to the direction of movement of the animal model, wherein the forelegs are articulated by a first drive mechanism with a first gear unit and a first drive axis.
