PURPOSE: An analog audio signal input/output device, a device and method for recognizing a connection state of the device are provided to increase the convenience of a user by enabling an audio player to analyze and classify information on a device transmitted from an audio output device, and by enabling the user to select a device without the need for confirming devices connected to each terminal. CONSTITUTION: An audio output device(210) is equipped with an audio signal output unit(211) which outputs an analog audio signal, an encoder(212) which generates data for explaining a device, a mixer(213) which inserts a modulated signal to an analog audio and a CPU(214) which controls the audio signal output unit(211) and the encoder(212). An audio player(220) is equipped with a decoder(221) which extracts and classifies the data, an audio playing unit(222) which processes the analog audio signal, a display unit(223) which displays the data, a CPU(224) controls an operation of the decoder(221), the audio playing unit(222) and the display unit(223).
