SYRINGE FOR INJECTING POLYMETHYLMETHACRYLATE BONE CEMENT FOR EXCESS INSERTING PREVENTION

PURPOSE: A syringe for polymethylmethacrylate bone cement injection is provided to prevent the excess insertion thereof, and to ensure a safety and accurate operation without causing an adverse reaction. CONSTITUTION: The syringe(2) having a trocar(1) is used to inject polymethylmethacrylate bone cement into the spinal column of an osteoporosis or compression fracture patient. When the syringe is excessively inserted into the spinal column, various complications such as local paralysis are developed. Therefore, a stop unit(3) designed not to interfere the transmission of x-ray is fastened at a desired position on the syringe by a fastening bolt(9) to allow the syringe to be inserted into a predetermined depth. The syringe stops as the stop unit contacts with the skin layer, thereby the excess insertion of the syringe being prevented.
