A personal mobility vehicle comprises a seat assembly 30 and a handlebar assembly 40 which can be folded so as to be stowed in a recess 24 of the vehicle body when not in use. This provides a compact and collapsible unit suitable for being transported or stored. The seat assembly preferably lies over and nests with the handlebar assembly within the recess. The seat preferably comprises a base 31 and a hinged back rest 33 which may be folded to cover the base, which may itself be connected to the vehicle body by means of a linkage 34 enabling the seat base to turn over as the seat assembly is folded down. The vehicle may further comprise an arcuate guide 51 for the linkage, a spring loaded latch, a steering column locking mechanism and a quick release battery terminal clamp. The rear wheels 14 may be released from the drive mechanism for towing. |
