PURPOSE: A method of operating a computer for a displaying history information of a hyperlink, a signal bearing medium and an information system are provided to display history information as to a hyperlink displayed on a web page. CONSTITUTION: First, a computer judges whether or not a hyperlink is selected before by that a user 'clicks' the hyperlinks(502-504) with a mouse. When it is selected before, characteristics of basic data obtained from a past visit (or trail) to the hyperlinked address are checked by using a database. Those characteristics are inputted to a presentation table so as to derive various extended presentation properties of the hyperlink. The presentation properties can be related to a text, a graphic, an image, video, sound, and a touch. Lastly, the computer displays the web page including the hyperlink having the extended presentation properties.
