PURPOSE: An array substrate for LCD device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maintain constantly the capacity of a capacitor connected to each pixel. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(101) having including a gate electrode and the first capacitor electrode(101a) is formed on a substrate. The first insulating layer is formed on the gate line(101). An active layer is formed on the gate electrode. The second capacitor electrode(103), a data line, a source electrode, and a drain electrode are formed by depositing and patterning a conductive metal on the substrate. A drain contact hole and a storage contact hole(105) are formed by depositing and patterning the second insulating layer on the substrate. A pixel electrode(107) is formed by depositing a transparent conductive metal on the second insulating layer.
