PURPOSE: A linear motor is provided to achieve an improved utilization of air void of the stator and motor efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A linear motor comprises a single stator(S) and first and second rotors(50,60). The stator includes an outer core(10), an inner core(20) inserted into the outer core with a predetermined air void between the inner core and the outer core, and a coil(30) taken up at the outer core or the inner core. First and second rotors are inserted into the air void formed between the outer core and the inner core, and generate driving force, respectively, by the interaction with the flux generated by the current applied to the coil. The outer core of the stator has two pole parts, and the first rotor and the second rotor are arranged to face two pole parts of the outer core, respectively. Thus, first and second rotor move at the same time by an interactive force between the stator and rotors, thereby improving utilization of air void and extending motor application range.
